Autochips started by doing mobile repairs but with the British Weather and the quality of work you can achieve working outside with dust, flies and damp spoiling the finish, we soon changed. We also had a small unit to work from and outgrew the space. In August 2004 we moved premises to Unit 3, Beech Business Park, Tillington Road, Hereford and installed a spray booth with a low bake oven. With the impending new legislation in January 2007 and the withdrawal of solvent based paints, the use of water based paints was not an option and we have now ceased mobile paint repairs. Small repairs to larger collision damage, to full resprays are now carried out at our new unit. We use manufacturer approved materials so we can do insurance work and also look after local garage dealerships with their sales vehicles. Small repairs are completed the same day; for larger repairs a courtesy car is available or a collection and delivery service with trade plates if needed.
